In 1983, when Tony Alvarez and Bryan Marsal founded Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), they were early pioneers in the restructuring landscape. Unlike many consultants who focused solely on restructuring bankrupt companies, Alvarez & Marsal envisioned a more operational approach. They believed that creditors and debtors were underserved and saw an opportunity to provide deeper, more impactful solutions to failing businesses. Peter Sacripanti is the Chairman of A&M Private Wealth Partners. He leads a diverse team of wealth planners, tax professionals, investors, economists, traders, and trustees. Together, they deliver bespoke, integrated solutions tailored to the unique needs of Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) individuals and their families, ensuring comprehensive wealth planning and protection.

Peter's philosophy centers on the belief that no two clients should ever receive the same strategy. Drawing on his extensive experience—highlighted by his role as Chairman of McDermott Will & Emery and advisory positions with Fortune 50 companies like Exxon, Honeywell, and Apple—he guides a team that crafts highly customized, forward-thinking solutions. Under his leadership, every aspect of wealth management, from tax optimization to estate planning and complex investment strategies, is meticulously aligned with each client’s specific goals.

At the helm of this multidisciplinary team, Peter offers UHNW individuals and families more than just advisory services; he provides a fully orchestrated approach to managing, preserving, and growing wealth. Whether navigating generational asset transfers, market volatility, or emerging investment opportunities, Peter and his team deliver innovative, coordinated strategies that adapt to the ever-changing financial landscape.

Peter holds a bachelor’s degree in finance, summa cum laude, from Fordham University and a J.D. from Pace University. He serves on the Board of Advisors of Columbia University’s Medical Center and is a Trustee Fellow at Fordham University.

Michael Calkin serves as the Practice Lead at A&M Private Wealth Partners, where he guides a team of wealth planners, tax specialists, investors, economists, traders, and trustees. As a collective, they create customized, comprehensive solutions designed to meet the distinctive needs of Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) individuals and their families, focusing on effective wealth planning and asset fortification.

Michael believes that the wealth management experience should be rooted in his clients’ needs, always prioritizing their prosperity and how to realize their objectives. He began his career in investment analysis and portfolio management, starting as an equity research analyst before being promoted to Portfolio Manager for the Dividends Plus and Large Cap Core equity strategies at ASB Capital Management in Washington, D.C. He subsequently co-founded Washington Growth Strategies, a multi-family office, where he served as Managing Partner, leading investment strategy and operations.

Michael spent the last six years as a Senior Private Banker at JP Morgan and Citi, advising some of the wealthiest families in the Private Bank on a range of topics, including investments, lending, wealth planning, investment banking, and family governance. In his leadership role at A&M Private Wealth Partner, Michael provides UHNW clients with more than just advisory services; he offers a fully integrated methodology to managing, protecting, and proliferating his clients’ wealth. Whether navigating generational asset transfers, market volatility, or emerging investment opportunities, Michael and his team provide innovative, coordinated strategies that adapt to the constantly evolving financial landscape.

Michael holds a bachelor’s degree from Miami University (Ohio), where he was awarded a Division I golf scholarship, and an MBA from George Washington University. He has served on the boards of three private financial technology companies, has been a guest lecturer at Georgetown University, and is an Associate Founder of the West Palm Beach Golf Park 501(c)(3).

Jonathan Fitzgerald directs the Wealth Planning division at A&M Private Wealth Partners, where he heads a specialized team focused on tailored wealth management and financial planning for ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals, families, business owners, entrepreneurs, and foundations. His expertise includes estate and trust planning, transfer tax strategies, business succession, insurance and investment management, legacy creation, and philanthropic initiatives.

Jonathan collaborates closely with clients and their advisors to create personalized estate, trust, and financial strategies that address immediate needs and long-term goals. He is passionate about empowering his team, clients, and colleagues by guiding them through his legal, tax, and wealth planning expertise.

Before joining AMPWP, Jonathan served as the Head of Domestic Wealth Planning for North America at Citi Private Bank, overseeing the development and implantation of comprehensive wealth management strategies. Prior to Citi, he was a National Director in the Emerald Family Office at Wilmington Trust, where he managed the business owner advisory practice and the estate settlement team.

Earlier in his career, Jonathan worked in a private legal practice, advising UHNW clients on estate and federal taxation planning. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in New York City, where he spent nearly four years on a financial statement audit team for Fortune 100 companies, providing analytical insights to partners and senior management to identify key risk areas.

Jonathan holds a JD from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Florida Bar, where he is active in the Tax Law and Real Property and Probate Law sections.
